Samantha Harvey is an artist who uses video and audio to reflect upon the mind’s relationship to our physical selves. Her practice questions the possibility of emulating in-tangible sensations, and uses new non- conventional forms and technologies to see previously hidden perspectives. Inspired by Geert Lovink and Florian Schnieder’s idea of a ‘Virtual World’, she seeks to challenge the rules of access, to see what environment openess can create. Harvey has exhibited internationally including at Artists’ Film Biennial: Outside (London), ADAF:
Athens 12th Digital Arts Festival, #TFW105 – What Happens When...(New York), and REFUGEE! (Shillong). Samantha has an MA with Distinction in Photography from Central Saint Martins and a Degree in Photography and Design from the Kingston University, London.
